Danny's dog story update

Since the mother of our little dog(Danny as a die hard Ben10 fan named him Ben)had been poisoned,the whole bunch have very limited survival chances.
So all six of the litter had been given as their last chance to another neighbor,who is firm with dogs.They are all in a critical shape right now.

A freezing morning

When you're used to 25-28 degrees after sunrise in can feel quite cold when it's suddenly only 22,what was the case this morning.My both weared thick jackets on the way to school while i thought i schould have taken mine,too.
Now at 8.30am the temperature is back on track and we're defrosting.:)

Dog poisoning

Two of our landlords dogs got poisoned,father and mother of the puppies we got offered.Suspected is by the way a thief,who is roaming the area here at night.
The family is very sad about that and we searched the net together to find the best food replacement for the mothermilk to keep the bunch alive.
That is solved so far,they get rice porridge and other adequate nutrition.

Another Cambodian speciality

While our morning meeting "J" showed us another cambodian speciality.
This is made of different rice strains and fruits,who allready developed a slightly alcoholic vine,mixed together with fresh coconut.We bought two bags for 50ct. and really enjoyed the snack with a flavor we never tasted before.

Morning meeting

Here my both with one of Danny's schoolmates while a refresh break of playing.We did meet in a big empty parking lot right next to the Victory beach,where the kids can run around.
The father of Rian,Danny's schoolmate is a nice guy,who sucessfully imported cars from the US until the economy slowed down."J" speaks through many years in Boston and California very well english,spended much time in both worlds and preferes to live in Cambodia.

That's Daniel's new friend.'The little boy still can't walk by himself and opened the eyes just a few days ago.

K&S stocks sold

The chart of the stocks makes me recommending to sell.I sold mine for 53,90 € today with allmost 8% gain in 11 trading days.
So this chapter is closed and they made it at least half the way of my prediction.Maybe they even go further,hard to say.

A elephant in town

Yesterday in the early evening when we went together for evening shoping,we suddenly saw a elefant with it's mahout on top right next to the main road.Danny was just flabbergasted and fascinated while standing only 3 meters next to this juge animal without a fence between.Many people from all sites stopped and watched.
Unfortunately we left the camera at home.:)

It seems that we finally found a little dog for Daniel.One of or neighbor dog's got half a dotzend puppies.Danny can get the white one with black spots,once this cute 2 weeks old dog baby is old enough to get seperated from it's mum.A pic will follow soon.:)

The neighbors

The Cambodians are imho a very social volk,who are sitting at the weekends together infront of many houses and are just celebrating something.So after a few months in "our" road we hardly make it back to the house or away without getting asked to join.We really like that and appreciate their kindness.But the thing is,once they got you in their garden,they require you at least to drink three bottles of beer with them.To drink as an allmost non-alcoholic three bottles in a row in tropical heat is just something i try to avoid.:)
But today there was no way to reject the invitation of our opposite neighbor,the school director.So i was sitting with nine other men together at his sala and we had a nice time.With us was the owner of a restaurant at Hawaii beach(he's trying to sell),who did speak very good english and interpreted.
Also with us was the manager of the only bungalow set on the paradise island Koh Rong here infront of the coast.(Check Youtube videos of Koh Rong)
I managed to have to drink only two bottles and really enjoyed the time.:)

Invitation to the Army in Battambang

When i jumped on the motorbite to the way back home infront of the supermarket i came in contact with a Cambodian on the bike next to me.We started taking and i discovered that he is a soldier,working as bodyguard for a General.Yesterday was the marriage of Sihanouk Ville's Governor,that's why he went down here.We talked a while and changed the numbers.Back home after dinner the phone rang and i got invited for another dinner with him and colleges.
So after we met he (won't publish his name without his aggrement)suggested a Khmer restaurant.T%here we went and had a nice evening with 5 other close protection officers.
They was so nice,all of them and invited us to Battambang.We talked of course a lot about the work,good and a lot of bad memories came back.:)
Shooting training was one of my major hobbies while i worked selfemployed in the Investigation-and security service in Germany and Austria.
In Battambang i hopefully can try an AK 47 for the first time-of course i pay the ammo.:)Tried serveral other assault rifles while shooting IPSC (Parcour shooting)training every week in Austria with the local military.
Here a clip aboout the training of an IPSC stage,one mistake trough my slippery fingers which got the slide racking not right by the first time.
The objective of this stage:
After the strartsignal grab the gun,the magazin on the other side,load,chamber a round,shot 6 targets in 4 meter with double tabs,empty the gun,show the range officer and reholser.
The gun was my duty gun and favorite 9mm,a Browning Hi Power from 1969.
This sport really push your limits in the big stages.:)

Wontan soup with rice and vegies

Here comes some more content for the food section:
This evening we had for dinner a chinese style Wontan soup.

The recipe:

48 Wontan's filled with shrimpmeat
1 spring onion
garlic
1 carott
2 packs of asian style soup base
1 liter of water

This dish is fast and easy prepare:
Steam rice while doing the rest.
Bring 1 liter water to the boil,insert the soup base,garlic and the wontan's,bring it back to the boil again for 2-3 min.,in comes the cutted vegies and the rice,continue cooking for 1 minute-ready to serve.:)

Pancake Sascha style

Today for lunch i tried something new for the family and made pancakes with fruit milk and self rising flower.
Danny is since today recommending this version of pancakes for our readers.:)

I used for 3 dishes:

1 cup of self rising flower(flower with baking powder),
5 eggs
250 ml of fruit milk

Danny at school again

Danny catched a cold and had to stay the last two days at home.This morning he was fine again and looked foward to go to school.When we arrived there some kids of his class was waiting outside.Danny got a warm wellcome of his classmates while a girl took his schoolbag and puted it away for him.:)

The EU-a brainfart of burocrats in heavy sea

It's going faster and faster down south there,as we can read in non-mainstream news allmost every day.

One of the last not so funny things was that the hungarian government nationalized the retirement savings of their citizens for the purpose to pay the enormous liabilities of the country.Unbelivable-an EU state is confiscating public property!
I think as an Hungarian i would be pretty pissed off about that!

Ok,but thats by far not all:

Belgium is tratened to brake in bancruptcy appart without a government steering against it.The devided country is since april 2010 without a functioning government.The country among to the EU states with the highest liabilities.

Spain is maybe going to trow all paymnent belated leasers out on the road from next month on.Affected are also the onces with unpayed mortgages.That won't be only a few,so much is ovious.
Ok,in southern spain it's quite warm and they could sleep on the beach too,but this could intervene the tourism industry,where many politicians with "side income" are invested.(sarcasm off)

In Germany,where 19 % of the working people are in state's duty(all others are the not so lucky ones,who have to pay that)the even beside the head smart government introduced the following rip off's for 2011:

-An "Air traffic tax"

-Tax on tobacco up.

-The healt insurance fee is incrasing 0,6 % to 15.5% of the pretax income.

-Health insurances can add additional costs with unlimited amount to the patient's bill.

-Many social benefits get cancelled.

The same is valid for the majority of other EU states.The taxes get rised,benefits cancelled,more fees and so on.

In the jungle

Our afternoon Jungletrip

I took a day off the screen today and suggested the family a motorbike trip trough the National Park nearby.
Danny was allready under his helmet when i had finished the question.:)
So we started at 2pm,arrived at the park close to 3pm.
There we stoped for a picknick just in the middle of nowhere.
The Nationalpark is located near the airport.The never ending road through it should lead to to a nice beach at the coast.We didn't make it that far,but Danny insisted that he don't wan't to drive back,because he likes it so much there.His facial expression was quite funny when i asked him with a smile,if he really want to sleep in the jungle.:)
So we went back and arrived before the sundowner at home.
All in all a 100km. ride,done relaxed in 3 hours both ways.
