Some more pics and evidence of the outstanding craftsmanship of Thai boat builders.This traditional Longtailboat is made the same way the Thais made boats for centuries.

The boat on the beach of Haad Yao,where i lived for half a year.

The way it looked for me while i drove it.It was around 10 meter long and it took quite a while to master the unique driving style with a lot of advice from the locals.

Sometimes i just invited some Thai friends for a free ride.That looked maybe a bit strange to some tourists when the "farang" drove Thais around with such a boat.:)

Of course the boat got blessed by Buddhist monks as a tribute to the sea gosts.
