New computer for the neighbour

Our neighbour from Canada is having trouble with his notebook and is considering to replace it soon instead of repairing the 4 year old pice.
I offered him to take him to our prefered PC shop to compare the offerings.That's what we did right afterwards.He haven't finally decided yet but was flabbergasted as i was how affordable notebooks became in recent times.:-)
We also compared the effective performance between the Core-i3 2.1Gz. and our Core i-5 with 2.67Gz.The Acer i-3 configuration is by a considerable margin slower as our Core i-5 but 0.6 better in the Grafic section.A ATI RADEON grafic card would improve that a lot but we aren't gaming at all on our one,doesn't matter to us.For additional 50 $ our one is still offered with the ATI onboard.
